I know this is sort of random, but as I was digging through my daily blog readings I’ve come to realize that the rooms I seem to be most attracted to (from a design perspective) are rooms with really beautiful drapes. They don’t have to be intricate, just beautiful which could mean solid white or a print. Doesn’t really matter. Just beautiful and drapey and sometimes flowery and sometimes stripey, but mainly drapey.

Don’t you think drapes add a whole other layer of fun to a room? And who knows, maybe having the right drapes will create world peace. It’s worth a try, don’t you think.

I’ve been absent for a while. No real excuse except that the store has kept me busy, so I suppose that’s my excuse. But I’m back to show you some pretty vintage inspired interiors I’ve recently added to my Pinterest.

Here’s a little Monday inspiration to get your week started on the right foot.
I love the heavy use of white while adding red and natural wood accents. Â There is something to be said about the simplicity of white in home decor. Â I found these images on a very fun British magazine website called Period Living. Â It’s a great website when searching out inspiration and motivation for renovating old homes.

I’m normally not one for labeling design styles since I’m a believer that a space should feel collected and represent you personally and not necessarily a specific style. BUT, if I had to label my own style, it would most definitely be the style represented below, Bohemian Chic.
All these images are from the lastest edition of Lonny Magazine. They are a perfect example of how to blend vintage and modern, high end and low end items, neutrals and color, which all blend perfectly to create a laid back, earthy yet sophisticated space.
And how about all that great art (both modern and vintage), vintage furniture, vintage trunk, bar cart, etc. I love seeing modern and vintage blended so perfectly. Don’t forget to buy what you like, don’t worry about it too much and through time and patience the space will become you. So have fun and happy decorating!
